Treatment

Treatment consists of private, one-on-one sessions with a therapist, who uses a variety of after formats, hands-on techniques.  Treatment may also include therapeutic movement and fascial stretching; postural education and self-treatment instruction; diaphragmatic breathing, visualization, and self-awareness techniques; Open Focus™ relaxation and coaching; and nervous system regulation exercises.

We encourage patients to wear or bring clothing that permits hand-to-skin contact for maximum benefit from treatment (for men, running shorts; for women, running shorts and a sports bra/bikini top or large t-shirt).  Your sense of modesty and comfort are always respected.

NEW PATIENTS

The initial session for new patients, is two hours in length and consists of assessment, followed by treatment.

Assessment includes personal and medical histories, standing (stationary) and walking postural evaluation and awareness training, and review of short and long term goals.

Your therapist will determine a plan for future treatment is determined at the conclusion of the first session.

NEXT STEPS

Subsequent treatment sessions range from one to five hours in length, depending upon the needs and goals of the patient and the availability of the therapist.

Treatment frequency can be daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, based on the patient’s goals.

Also available are intensive treatment formats multi-hour/multi-day treatments spaced over a period of one to four weeks.
